Galatians

v1,2. Apostle Paul received the office of apostleship directly from GOD. He was not ordained by some organization or by some person. You could sense such confidence in Apostle Paul at all times, for he never sought after any man's approval or organization's approval. Paul knew his calling very well. He knew who he was and whose he was. A man made title on paper amounts to nothing in front of GOD. In order to be a true and accepted servant of GOD, you have to be ordained by GOD Himself by His Holy Spirit. And when you go through this process, there will be such inner confidence in you which desire not nor seek after any attestation from a human agency or person. Today we see many self proclaimed pastors and apostles with a piece of ordination paper in their hands. Unfortunately, in GOD's eyes their ordination paper amounts to nothing. The question one need to ask is 'Am I ordained by GOD to do the work of the ministry? And "Do I feel confident and sure about GOD's calling in my life"? A true man of GOD doesn't wait for ordination from today's weak and carnal denominations to do the work of the ministry. He knows that he is ordained by GOD through the inner witnessing of the Holy Spirit in the heart. Apostle Paul starts of this book by confidently stating that he is an apostle not made by men but by the express command and ordination of the Almighty GOD Himself. How many of us can confidently say that "I am a minister of GOD, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ and GOD the Father." Glory!

v3. Grace and peace we need in abundance to serve GOD acceptably in a world filled with sin and satan. Grace we need to continually escape the corruption that is in the world through lusts and a field filled with enemy’s snares. And peace we need to know that the work is finished on the cross. Through the great sacrificial work of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have perfect peace with GOD. A peaceful conscience is necessary in order to obey and serve GOD in the right spirit; a calm and clear conscience which witnesses that you are a child of GOD, perfected in the Spirit, loved by GOD, your sins covered by the blood of the Son of GOD and sanctified in Him. Glory!

v4. Jesus gave Himself for all, but only those who have repented and pledged a good conscience toward GOD can receive the benefits of His sacrifice. And such who have received Christ will be delivered from this present evil world one day. If it weren't for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we would not have access to eternal life. Today by the virtue of the perfect sacrifice of our LORD, death will not have the last word. We won't see corruption nor go forever into the depths of sheol. Lord Jesus made a way through His sacrifice and resurrection for the fallen man to be born again by His Spirit, having his sins remitted by the blood of the Lord and thus paving a way for Him to inherit eternal life.

v5. All glory at all times belongs to our GOD for opening a pathway to eternal life. It is His wisdom and mercy alone that has opened the glorious way to eternal life. It is the will of our Father that all men be saved and come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. GOD doesn't desire any to perish, but all to enter everlasting life. That's why we read in John 3:16 GOD so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. To GOD be the glory for ever and ever for His love and mercy toward us. Glory be to GOD for opening up this great privilege to be restored back in His presence and communion forever.

V.6-9 – Our vulnerability to fall away from faith and the true essence of the gospel is great. Much care and attention has to be applied toward preserving the truth of the gospel in our hearts and not let contaminations creep in through receiving false teaching and leaven. There are a lot of false teachers and false teachings out there. If you are not careful about shunning the false doctrines and the false gospel, you will be held accountable by GOD on the Day of Judgment. On that terrible day, you cannot make any excuses or pass blame on to someone else for falling into deception. GOD requires you to actively search the scriptures and find the truth for yourself by the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that you don’t fall into the same ditch that millions of people are falling into. The main agenda of the false teachers is that they pervert the pure gospel message of Jesus Christ. They mix worldliness and other lasciviousness into the pure gospel. Apostle Paul clearly warns all believers to cut off all ties with such men and women who propagate the false gospel. If not, you will also become partakers of their sins and eventually be destroyed along with them. Do not have any fellowship or ties with preachers who proclaim a false gospel whether they are baptists, mormons, jehovah’s witnesses or any other false religion.

v.10, 11 – The message of the true gospel is not one that pleases the natural man. For in it contains the call to repentance and turning away from sins, changing ungodly lifestyles and submitting their lives to the precepts of GOD, and saving yourselves from the vengeance of eternal fires in the hell that is to come. Most people get offended by such message because they cannot continue their carnal lifestyle fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. They don’t want to acknowledge the presence of the true GOD nor do they regard the judgment to come where the obedient will find life and the disobedient will suffer eternal fires of hell. And it is a dangerous thing to fall into the wrath of Almighty GOD.

True servants of GOD are not very popular. Their gospel is not widely accepted in this fallen world. Because the true gospel calls for a lifestyle change; to shun all fleshly lusts, take up your cross and follow the LORD in His purity and righteousness. But most men want to continue in their sinful ways and darkness for it brings temporary gratification and pleasure. However, our holy GOD, the sovereign ruler of this universe has His system in place where everyone will be recompensed according to his works; eternal life for all who lived holy and death for all who walked in darkness.

v.12 – Understanding of the true gospel comes only from the express revelation of GOD. One can read about it, hear about it, but until the Spirit of GOD illuminates and enlightens your heart; the message of the gospel will not become real in your life. One needs to be very careful not to add any human wisdom or ways to the message of the gospel. GOD has prescribed the beginning and end of the message and all we need to do is follow it and not add to it or take away from it.

v.13, 15 –
