statement of faith
we believe in and preach the following truths as found in the holy Scriptures
we believe...
- In the existence of one GOD, the Maker and Creator of all things and the one who upholds this universe by the word of His power.
- That GOD eternally exists in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The Son of GOD became flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and was named JESUS.
- Jesus Christ came to earth for becoming a sacrifice for our sins, was crucified, buried and rose again on the 3rd day for our justification.
- That all men everywhere have fallen short, tainted by sin and face the judgment of God.
- Repentance from dead works of the old man and placing faith in God through Christ, by whom we receive the atonement.
- GOD saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:5-6; cf. Eph. 5:25, 26; Heb. 10:22).
- In the new birth, when one's name is recorded in heaven and one becomes a child of GOD.
- That a person can only draw near to GOD by HIS grace and through faith where even the faith is a gift from GOD (2 Cor 1:21).
- That the regenerative work that occurs inside a person where he or she is born again into the new order of Jesus Christ is a direct result of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- That every believer in Christ need to run the race till the end to attain eternal life as we read in Hebrews 3:6,14 "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing our hope till the end."
- That born again believers can fall away from faith and face eternal damnation if they don't walk in vigilance and complete obedience to GOD's revealed truths.
- That one must be baptized in water by immersion as a sign of the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit in thier lives.
- All gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available and not extinct and one should earnestly seek them from GOD for the edification of the individual and the church.
- The imposition of hands, the true sacrificial system; and, by and through it, the communication of the various gifts of the Holy Spirit, for the instruction of mankind, and the edification of the Church.
- In the filling of the Holy Spirit, the enduement of power for service upon a sanctified life, empowering for service with an irresistible message. The outward manifestation of the filling of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated by one or more of the gifts of the Holy Spirit which includes wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits and speaking in new tongues.
- That divine healing exists and should be received in faith
- We believe Jesus Christ will soon return to earth physically, visibly, and gloriously for the second time with eternal blessing and reward for those who love His appearing (Titus 2:13).
- The resurrection of the dead, which is both proved and illustrated by the resurrection of Christ.
- The doctrine of the eternal or future judgment, which is to take place at the bar of Christ himself, God having committed all judgment to his Son, and the sentences then pronounced shall be irreversible.
The Apostles Creed
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
